Activate Windows  God Mode

One desktop shortcut can take you to a window where all the settings, even the hidden ones, can be easily accessed.  Here is how to create it. This works on Win 10/8.1/8/7. In Vista it only works on 32 bit systems.

Right click on your desktop and select New Folder.

Type in or copy and paste the following as the name. Note the period as the 8th character in the name if you are typing rather than copy and pasting.

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Then just hit Enter and the folder icon will change to this.

   Double click this shortcut to enter God Mode.

Simple Shutdown Timer

This is a favorite of mine. I like to fall asleep while listening to streaming audio programs. But I don’t want my computer running all night. This handy little program will allow you to set a timer that will turn off your computer automatically after a designated period of time. I have used this with Win XP/Vista/7/8/8.1, but have not tested this on Windows 10. But as it is Win 8 compatible it should work. If not, install it in Compatibility Mode for Win 7.
