DoctorLaptop Alert for Windows 10 Users

Windows 10 Fall Creators Update was released on October 17th. Yes, another huge update. It’s a good idea to make a System Restore Point now, before you get the update, in case it goes wrong. Remember, Win 10 Updates may change settings without alerting you! If you have customized your settings, to eliminate update sharing or whatever, you should check these settings and return them to your preferred setting. Here is a summary of the changes.
-PDFs in Edge. Fill in PDF-based forms within Microsoft Edge and make notes directly on PDFs.
-Better storage management. With Windows 10 Creators Update, we added the ability to automatically remove files you don’t need using Storage Sense. Now, you can also choose to have files in your Downloads folder automatically deleted as well. Be careful with this one or you may find items in your Downloads folder missing without having deleted them! If in doubt, disable Storage Sense in Settings.
-Ransomware protections. Windows Defender Antivirus now has specific safeguards against malicious apps and threats like WannaCry.
-Currency converter in Calculator.
-Get web results in Cortana without opening your browser. It works with movies, celebrities, stock prices, weather, flight status — and a myriad of other topics.
-One Drive Files on Demand. Access your files from in the cloud in File Explorer without downloading and using storage space on your device.
-And many security holes have been patched.

New Technology For Improving Quality of Old Videos – DoctorLaptop’s New Service

While the common wisdom up till now said you can never make an old video any sharper and focused than the original, new tech algorithms can do exactly that. It cannot perform miracles but it certainly can cleanup old VHS and TV broadcast recordings that have been copied to digital format. I have been testing this for a few weeks now and am pleasantly surprised at the improvements it makes to the old VHS tapes I copied to my computer. Contrast, focus, colors and fine details are improved. Some videos show better improvement than others. The preview function on this new software allows the user to see the before and after views simultaneously before actually performing the conversion to compare and decide if the processing is worth doing.
Bring me your videos on DVD or USB drive, we can load them and I will show you what improvement is possible. If you decide to proceed the fee is €25/hr of video play-time, with a €25 minimum. The process actually takes far longer than the playback duration of the vids.

5. Android wifi signal booster apps are a scam. If you read the fine print some even admit they are a placebo. They display a fake wifi strength improvement without actually doing anything.
